The film is selected to screen at the London Independent Film Festival in 2010 and also in the Canne under 250K Euro Category. It showed in limited release on Australian movie theatres. The film was filmed in rural NSW in Australia (Murrurundi and Nundle) in picturesque settings. The Backpacker was filmed in 2008.

It was filmed in Australia in the hills surrounding central coast on an citris orchard in 2008. Also using the picturesque natural landscapes and waterfalls of the area. Notably many of the bikers included in the film were actual members of the Commancheros.

The film has been selected and screened at GrimmFest in Manchester, England in 2009 and also The Australian Film Festival in 2010. It has also screened at the Amercian Film Market in 2010. It was filmed in Australia, all interiors at the Duke of Gloucester Hotel in Randwick Sydney, and all exteriors at the Sutton Forest Inn, Southern Highlands and Illawarra. The director, at 23years old, Kate Glover took on the project just out of film school and now resides in London working for a film company.
