I completed all the tech for re-lighting/programming and audio programming for this show, and operated for the entire season. Iago is a modern re-visioning of William Shakespeare’s Othello, through the lens of its central relationship. Through contemporary voice, Elizabethan language, dance, stage combat and scenes of physical intimacy, Iago is a 70-minute investigation of male sexuality and manhood that asks the audience to confront their own ideas of masculinity.

Fun little season at the 4th Wynnum Fringe Festival down on the beachside in Brisbane! Fun bunch of shows in the balmy Qld coast! Post this festival, the show is changing it's name from Spunk Daddy to Little Squirt.

Production Manager/Stage Manager - “Supernova Concert" - Charlie Chan - June 2023
Charlie Chan (composer/ musician/ creative) played and improvised piano and keyboard music for 26 hours, with various friends joining in along the way. From a band with string section, to late night jamming, zoom storytelling from Myf Warhurst (to the exclusive ticketholders who slept overnight onstage), yoga at sunrise, music for dogs, Indigenous Astrology with didgeridoos, Elliot Wheeler (composer ELVIS movie). improvised dance by VOID collective, and a big finale concert with full brass section! Charlie also has trained a new A.I. to play like them, so when Charlie had to go to the toilet or have a brief food break, the CH.A.I. (Charlie A.I.) was playing. We had 2 grand pianos on stage, about 6 keyboards, keytar, theramin, hand percussion! it was monumental!

QLab Programmer - "The Durga Chronicles" -  Insite Arts International (VIC) - Aug 2022 Arthouse North Melbourne Australia
Show AV programmer in QLab 4, brought elements from the the video artist, and sound designer together into a show file, with interactions with the performers, some dmx shutter triggers with the 3 projectors (on the audience in the round, and the dance floor), and also some lighting cues through OSC to trigger LX. I handed the show over to Luke Smiles to operate AV for the season at Arthouse.
Drawing on contemporary, classical Indian postmodern aesthetics, this rich work uses music, dance and stunning visuals – along with a world first; an exquisite, moving Carnatic choir of 12 women – to create a storytelling experience that operates on a visceral level. Internationally renowned dancer/choreographer/writer Priya Srinivasan’s works explore issues of social justice. Rooted in South Asian dance practice, her performances make women’s histories visible and have been presented in major festivals across the globe.

"Life at city speed is never easy…for some it is almost impossible. How might you navigate our modern culture when you are unable to process information like most around you? How do you learn to adapt? Could tuning into other people who share a similar nature hold the clues? Does nature itself show you the way? Perhaps the answers are buried in the sands of southern Cambodia? Or scattered in the stars above?"

Theatre Play - "The Schelling Point" - Old Fitzroy Theatre, Woolloomooloo, Sydney 2010

Picture
I worked as the lighting designer and operator for the majority of the 4 week run 2010.  Writer - Ron Elisha, Director - Sarah Goodes, Producer - Jennifer Campbell.  Starring: David Callan, Daniel Cordeaux, Jonathan Elsom, Andrew Henry, Jamie McGregor, Marshall Napier and introducing Miss Lauren La Rouge

What happens when two parties are unable to communicate and reach a common ground? What happens when the stakes are so high the future of the world depends on it? All’s fair in love and war, or so they say. But when the players are John F Kennedy, Stanley Kubrick, Tom Schelling, Peter Sellers, Frank Sinatra and a Cuban Missile Crisis, the outcome is anything but expected.

A fun and rewarding production with great reviews and sell out shows

Picture
I worked on the play as the Lighting Designer and Operator.  The play ran for a full season at The Stables Theatre, Kings Cross Sydney, The Griffin Theatre Company in 2008

"Colder, is a powerful exploration of the events surrounding a child and a man gone missing. Colder won the R.E Ross Trust Award and was short-listed for the 2007 Griffin Award. Inspired by the unexplained disappearance of Simon Knight in 2005, Colder is a unique contemporary Sydney story. A young boy is separated from his mother and goes missing in Disneyland. Adrift in the artificial world of giant mice and noisy parades, nobody can account for what happened in the seven frantic hours before he was found. Years later his life seems normal; stable; happy. But something about that day haunts him. Something about that day remains unresolved. And then, he disappears again"
